We Love the ChurchJan 13, 2012.

We love the church!  And it’s our desire as a ministry to equip the church with the resources to be able to worship Jesus in new and fresh ways both corporately and individually.  We’ve been together leading worship at events and churches around the nation for 3 years now.  That’s not an incredibly long time, but in that short amount of time we’ve learned a lot.  It doesn’t take too long to realize you always need a spare tire, Red Bull (I swear it gives you wings), coffee, and duck tape.  We’ve also realized that in order to bless the ministries of the churches we encounter we have to be willing to sew into those ministries.  So we began to give our resources to youth workers and church leaders at events we are apart of.  Yes…GIVE our resources away.  Albums, chord charts, etc.  FREE.  Everything we’ve got…for youth workers and church leaders…FOR FREE.  Why?  We love you and we love the church.  It’s our desire to be a blessing to the church and the leaders in the church. 

We’re partnering with a great group of people at Simply Youth Ministry Conference this March 2-5 and are excited to hang with over 3,000 youth workers!  Leading up to that event we’ll give away a song at least every other week.  The songs will be from our Dirt Road EP (2011 - our ode to hymns, redone with a new age bluegrass feel) and our freshman album release, Live Loud (2010).  You can get any of the chord charts for these songs on our website, http://www.jordanhowertonband.com/charts. 

We’re currently in the process of recording our new record, We Are Free, set to release in June 2012.  Please stay tuned for early leaks of those songs for youth workers only!
